Wyandanch is being rebuilt, and rebuilding means contracts, storefronts and jobs. Too often that work goes to firms from somewhere else while local businesses watch from the sidewalk. The Initiative exists to make sure local, minority-owned and women-owned businesses are positioned to win it.
